Not only have kids’ relationships with one another changed as schooling has flip-flopped between in-person and online - so has the interaction between parents. No longer are there inspiring conversations after drop-off or long leisurely hang-outs after school while the kids play. Parents’ relationships have had to shift with the pandemic, and there is a loneliness, a missing of community, and an aloneness in parenting wins and struggles.
With this in mind, we have come together as a trio to present bodies of work that connect us to one another and to document our inner spaces in an outward way. Our intention is to witness and pay homage to our unique art practices as sources of healing and release - and to showcase them as inspiration for others to process their emotions from the past year. Intuitively created, these works are mirrors, depictions of holding the center amidst the myriad feelings pandemic life has generated.
Please join us on Friday, June 4th 6-9pm for the First Friday in the Nobo Art District. Bring your masks, your picnic baskets, and be ready to stroll the galleries and studios and take in art and live music. Gallery hours are listed above, and we are always happy to arrange private viewings. The show hangs June 1 - 30.
