Weekend Snippets

Fed my little guy, then back to sleep in a quiet room, all by myself.

Cleaned the house, Sam watching our every move, taking the movement and the sounds in with his wide eyes and sharp ears.

Spent time by myself at Browse n' Buy and the food-packed aisles of Smith's.

Went on an off-roading adventure with the stroller, Sam slumbering the whole time as we bumped up Nelson butte.

Read poetry to Sam whose face lit up and smile beamed as if he knew that the words I was reading him were magic.

Danced to Pour Some Sugar On Me, initiated by Jamie, who wants his son to appreciate good ol' rock n' roll. Sam loves to dance...

Stayed snugly in the warm house, the fire burning most of the morning.

Ran with the family. Becoming a tradition as I am slowly beginning to practice one of my favorite outdoor activities again, taking turns pushing the buggy and monitoring Olive's moves, discovering hidden corners and crannies of East Jackson that are missed in a car.

Made delicious dinners.

Daydreamed of what is to come, while appreciating the moments of the present.
