I love getting up early, when the house is still and the stars still twinkle outside. The dog will maybe lift his head or nestle in for a cuddle on the couch. My slow routine of making coffee. Padding downstairs, lighting candles, sitting with myself. Remembering my breathe, feeling my body from the inside out, acknowledging the thoughts and letting them go. This is all a work in process, full of the messiness of being human. This piece speaks to the quiet of morning, the reverence.
